Driven
from Nairobi to Longonot Ranch House in the floor of the Great Rift Valley, near
Lake Naivasha. Three days of cross country riding, two nights in a luxury fly
camp and two nights at the charming colonial style Ranch House. Wildlife in
abundance.

Game viewing, bird
watching, and scenic safari on horseback. Private camps throughout.
Day 1
Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi, customs clearance, and transfer to the centrally located
Fairview Hotel, where we overnight on a bed and breakfast basis. There will be a
brief safari orientation after dinner on your own.
Day 2
At 9 a.m. you will be collected from your Nairobi hotel. Drive to Longonot
Ranch House arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon ride or walk on the Ranch.
Night game drive. Dinner at the Ranch House.
Day 3
After breakfast ride out between Mt. Longonot National Park and Hell’s
Gate National Park with picnic lunch to Fig Tree Hill. There is an abundance of
game to see and photograph. Arrive in camp in time for tea. Hot showers. Dinner
and overnight in Fig Tree Camp.
Day 4
Full Day in Masai Mara Do as you like
Choose from many activities offered at Fig
Tree
Day 5
Morning and evening game rides Lunch in camp. Lots of plains game and
wonderful scenery, and plenty of contact with the Masai people. Dinner and
overnight in Fig Tree Camp.
Day 6
After breakfast strike camp and ride all day through the spectacular and
awesome Hell’s Gate Gorge taking a picnic lunch. This is the nesting ground of
numerous species of vulture. Also visit the steam jets. Reach the Ranch House in
time for tea and hot baths. Dinner and overnight at the Longonot Ranch House.
Day 7
After breakfast take an optional launch cruise on Lake Naivasha to see a
myriad of waterfowl and colonies of hippo or climb Mt. Longonot, an extinct
9,000 ft volcano. Lunch at the Ranch House before returning to Nairobi.
